Students shall maintain discipline and decorum, both inside and outside the Institute and hostel premises. They shall abide by the rules and regulations of the Institution and the University and shall not involve in any objectionable conduct such as breach of discipline, disobedience reprehensible conduct and disorderly behaviour including ragging. They must extend courtesy and cooperation to all the employees of the Institutions. If it is found that a student has committed any offence, he/she will be called upon to explain his/her conduct and if his/her explanation is not satisfactory, the Principal of the Institute, being the disciplinary authority, may take disciplinary actions, such as imposition of fines, suspension and rustication from the College.
Consumption of alcohol / narcotics inside or outside the Institute and hostels' premises is banned. Any student found under such influence shall be severely punished.
Any of the following acts will be considered as an act of misconduct and will be seriously dealt with :
a. Inviting outsiders to the Institute and hostels without the permission of the authorities.
b. Bringing antisocial elements to the Institute and hostel.
c. Un-authorized absence from the class and hostel
d. Mass absence from the classes
e. Motivating students to boycott or postponement of classes, examination or tests
f. Taking part/ participating in agitation, which may be considered unlawful by the authorities
g. Willful participation in vandalism or damage to the Institute and Hostel properties. In addition to exemplary punishment the entire loss will be recovered form the individual or groups
h. Stealing or mutilating library books and other properties of the Institute and hostel
i. Misbehaviour with fellow students and employees of the Institute
j. Adoption of unfair means in any form
k. Any other act which may be viewed by the authorities as an act of in discipline
All students are issued with identity cards, which should be in their possession while in the Institute or outside. The same should be produced whenever required.
