Department of Prosthodontics ::
 

One of the foundation department of dentistry. This department has the state of the art instrument in equipment to treat patient with various dental prosthesis needs like removable dentures, fixed dentures implants and maxillofacial prosthesis. It has a modern students practical lab, ceramic and acrylic lab to trained students and to fabricate all types of prosthesis in lab

Infrastructure :

This is a well equipped department with about 4000 sqft built of area covering the clinical section having 34 state of the art dental treatment chairs and other equipments, a pre-clinical section for teaching students, an acrylic in ceramic laboratory. There is an exclusive seminar hall and department library attached to the department. Absolute sterilization and cleanliness maintained.

•  Fixed partial dentures
•  Maxillofacial prosthesis
•  Occlusal correction
•  Full month rehabilitation

Any other achievements or Highlights :

Regular seminars brief organized at least quarterly and students are encouraged to take part in various conferences our faculty also are up to date with the latest trends in prosthesis.

General instructions & Requirements for students posted in the department :

•  Discipline is the key, so the students has to be abide by the rules and regulated formulated by the SOA University.
•  Minimum 75% attendance is a must to be promoted to the next session.
•  The students should be neatly dressed (Formals) and well groomed to maintained the sanity of this noble profession.
•  The students should cultivate themselves to be good human being as they will be treating life human beings and the patients well being should be the first and foremost priority.
•  The students will be periodically given assignments and seminars.
•  There will be regular internal assessment, attending all of them is a most for being eligible for appearing in the university examination.
•  1 st and 2 nd years students will be exposed to pre-clinical work prosthesis fabrication, which will help them to handle patients in future years. An elaborate exercise being devised for this purpose.
•  3 rd and 4 th year students will be exposed to real clinical scenario to treat patient after completion of the necessary exercises.
•  A proctoral system is in place so as to help students to interact with the faculty in academic so as in other problems the face.
•  Last but not the least punctuality, decent behavior are the key for the success of a good students.
