The department of Oral Pathology & Microbiology has been the back bone of many other departments of this institute in providing the much needed information of the general health of patients as well as in detecting many diseases of the head & neck region. Specimens from all the other departments are analyzed here. The students in this section shall be trained about diseases that manifest in and about the oral cavity. Students shall be about the clinical, radiographic, laboratory, histopathologic, and therapeutic features of these diseases as well as their etiology and natural history.

This department like its brethren has excellent co-ordination with the clinician every department strongly believes that "Coming together is beginning... Keeping Together is Progress... Working together is Success".

'Mouth is the mirror of our body' these words are very true when we see many patients with oral manifestations of a systemic cause.
