Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics ::

 

Conservative Dentistry as a subject includes endodontics, crowns, fixed and semi-fixed bridgework and operative procedures for the restoration and replacement of teeth whether supported by natural abutments or implants. The science related to conservative dentistry forms an integral part of the subject. This department provides all of these services for the patients. Our division has a strong teaching and clinical record and special expertise in the evaluation of new restorative materials and techniques.

The pre clinical lab with kavo phantom heads and others is well equipped to cater to the preclinical needs for the 1st and 2nd Year BDS students. It also has a separate plaster laboratory for the convenience of the undergraduates.

1. Pre Clinical conservative dentistry exercises to be completed in 2nd BDS.
2. Regular Case History (Patients),Discussions between staff and students.
3. Predefined Clinical work quota to be completed before appearing in final year examinations.
4. Seminars conducted on weekly basis
5. Strict adherence to personal and work hygiene rules instructed to students.
6. All students in the department should feel free to seek guidance from any staff whenever necessary.
